We took the top 2020 predicted trends for Instagram and continued to elevate our clients through social inspiration and strategy-pivot integration.
Carousel Posts (w/ Club House for Chefs)
A single Instagram feed post can contain up to ten images, that’s ten opportunities to provide your brand’s audience with a full message at the swipe of their thumb, only in smaller, easier-to-understand pieces tied together.
These can also be repurposed as creative, informative dynamic Instagram advertisements, as opposed to the simpler static (single image) advertisements.
Take spices and seasonings client Club House for Chefs, for example.
Inspiring chefs through recipe creation, mise-en-places and brand product use, dynamic (carousel) advertisements doubled our reach and impressions into the six-digit range, tripled our link clicks and heavily slashed our cost-per-result; in comparison to the usage of static one-image advertisements.

Instagram Live (w/ Bonne Maman)
Instagram Live streaming has had a major spike this year, and this was an opportunity for our brand clients to reach their audiences in familiar ways virtually.
Pivoting Bonne Maman’s previously planned interactive workshops, we harnessed the engagement of live streaming on Instagram by having Parenting & Kitchen Experts Sneaky Mommies inspire the brand’s target demographics with a Jam and Goat Cheese Puff Pastry Pinwheel how-to, complete with Bonne Maman’s signature jam, that could be done in any home.

IGTV Informative Sessions (w/ Canola Eat Well)
Allowing for long-form, informative and evergreen Instagram content, we helped to provide even more food inspo this year with help from DaiLo Chef & Food Network’s Wall of Chefs’ Chef Nick Liu, IGTV and client Canola Eat Well.
Each week for a month, Chef Liu took to IGTV to provide an in-depth look at how he cooks some of his top dishes with fresh, Canadian canola oil. These culinary masterpieces included his Canola-Fried Cambodian Chicken Wings, Trini Doubles and Spicy Lamb Noodles.
These episodes were even all filmed from his own home, making the ability behind these recipes accessible to nearly anyone, consumers and culinary creators alike. Watch more at Chef Liu’s Instagram @NinjaChef.
Memes (w/ Canada Takeout)
Who doesn’t love a good meme? Providing comic relief for them, and easy shares & engagement for branded accounts, memes can be simple, relatable, even comedic ways of getting a message across.
With #TakeoutDay each week celebrating a special food holiday at Canada Takeout, we gave customers Canadians fun reminders why they should order takeout that they could relate to; all using a meme graphic format.
