Working alongside the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS), and their portfolio of American whiskey brands, our team and Cheers American Spirits put on an educational tasting event in late November of 2021.
The objective was to introduce a variety of spirits to local brand ambassadors, French press, agents, influencers among others with USDA representatives, distillers and SAQ analysts in tow.
Hosted at the notable, award-winning Atwater Cocktail Club, the perfect backdrop and host for such an event, highlighted and spoken-on spirits included Bulleit Bourbon, Koval Single Barrel Bourbon, Jack Daniel’s Gentleman Jack, Sagamore Spirit Signature Rye, Westland Outpost Range Garryana American Single Malt, all sampled by guests with custom paired dishes prepared by the Atwater kitchen.
Emceeing the event was none other than DipWSET instructor and sommelier Michelle Bouffard plus the attendance of special guest speakers including Martha Harrison (Connexion Oenophilia), Sarah Desmoulins (PMA Canada) and Reed Pettit (SGWS).
With additional English and French booklets and sampling kits distributed before departure to the 30 guests, this event not only resulted in increased following and engagement of Cheers American Spirits and the event-selected brands but it also drew in over a dozen product inquiries from agents and media.
