A successful program we ran this summer for our client, Yorkshire Valley Farms, was a weekly cookbook giveaway sponsored by Random House Canada.


The Summer of Cookbooks Giveaway ran for 12 weeks and every week a new cookbook would be up for grabs.

We decided to make this program multidimensional by releasing a recipe the day before it went live. By doing this, we gave YVF’s social community incentive to enter and a taste of what they would win.

There were many benefits to this giveaway; not only did we partner with Random House Canada, but YVF gained many followers on Twitter and fans on Facebook. Conversation was generated via entrees, winners, chefs and authors of these cookbooks (see pic above)…even Random House Canada chimed in from time to time.
