The Out of Office Diaries: When It’s Holiday Log Off Time

The Out of Office Diaries: When It’s Holiday Log Off Time

It’s almost Christmastime which will mean that our agency will be lights off, doors locked and staff logged off! With our staff diverse in lifestyles and enjoyments, we just had to show and tell each of their ideal holiday plans.

Sean and Marian (Agency Partners)

We’ll be making our annual pilgrimage south, packing up the car, dog included, and driving to St. Pete Beach, Florida. The spirit of the holidays is pretty much the same, Santa shows up there too. We just enjoy spending Christmas Day walking the beach followed by brunch at the famous Don Cesar. This is our holiday away from home and a much-needed recharge, surrounded by twinkle-lit palm trees and sandmen instead of snowmen.

Aimee (Account Director)

I’ll be kicking off my holidays with at least three viewings of Love Actually. While other festive movies play on TV, I’ll also bake up a storm, from shortbread to chocolate mousse. This year, I’ll even be cooking both Chanukah and Christmas dinners for my family, and when I’m not cooking, I’ll be headed to family gatherings to eat, drink and be merry. Plus, there will also be a celebration of my birthday with another viewing of Love Actually.

Shanley (Account Manager)

All I want to do for my holiday season is relax in my favourite sweats, enjoy delicious bourbon bevvies and watch Disney+ and cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies with my dog, Rory.

Jessica (Content Manager)

This year is a change in our traditions. Until now, I’ve never spent Christmas day away from my family but all the cookie baking, present swapping and holiday dinners with them will be the week before Christmas. Then, we fly into BC to spend the holidays with my partner’s family; cutting down a Christmas tree, going ice fishing and then splashing around in hot springs to close out 2019!

Casey (Copywriter)

After a big year of changes, this will be our first holiday season in our own apartment (and our own full-sized tree!). Will be keeping it very low-key; visits with family, lounging with our kitties, Liverpool football and allllll the Christmas movies complete with Reid’s Dairy Egg Nog (#TheOnlyNogEver).

David (Director, Business Development)

I can’t wait to get all rolled up in blankets with my wife and kids, drink hot chocolate and watch Christmas cartoons! We also celebrate Hanukah, so there will be 8 crazy nights of candle lighting, story-telling, and Adam Sandler songs. Plus we will have the Raptors red-hot champion-defending NBA action to keep us warm.

Spencer (Account Manager)

I’m fortunate enough to attend three consecutive Christmases every year, two on Christmas Day and one on Boxing Day. It’s a marathon, but well worth the effort! What I look forward to most is the time between Christmas and the New Year; not knowing what day of the week it is, and having nowhere to be.

❄️ Happy Holidays! ❄️
