Our agency is proud to announce our 2021 Learn-Along series with Canola Eat Well has been nominated for a Best of CAMA 2021 Events Award!
Planned and developed alongside Manitoba Canola Growers / Canola Eat Well and Tom Powell Design, the Learn-Along series consisted of a trio of themed virtual events inspired by the Canola motto, “When We Learn Together, We Grow Together.”
Starting event, “Plant,” taught guests tips and tricks for planting seeds plus gave an inside look at agriculture from the perspective of canola farmers.
Attendees were also treated to a sustainable seafood demonstration by chef advocate and best-selling cookbook author Ned Bell plus a joyful sing-along with musician Sol James.
The next event, “Grow,” featuring Winnipeg farmer Will Bergmann, educated attendees on growing various food ingredients and the importance of bees. Additional guests included singer-songwriter and fiddle player Sierra Noble and on-air expert and recipe developer Chef Paul Lillakas.
The final event, “Eat,” saw Canadian farmer Jeannette Andrashewski teaching guests about the science of sustainability, Juno nominee Del Barber performing stories of prairie life and culinary expert Trevor Lui celebrating food with stories as delicious as his recipes.
For each event, special mailed kits were available to guests to partake in the activities and demonstrations from home in real-time. Each event involved 75 active attendees, ranging from farmers, chefs and registered dieticians to food and lifestyle influencers, food writers and more.
