Between October 31 and January 7, I traveled across North America, hitting Vancouver, Winnipeg, Chicago, and Florida. Each stop was a mix of work, new connections, and memorable experiences.
This series will cover the highlights from each place, including learning about the alcohol industry in Vancouver, reconnecting with old friends in Winnipeg, eating hot dogs in Chicago, and building a business community in Florida.
Next stop: Winnipeg. The tasting event had a great mix of people, and one thing that really stood out was their strong sense of community. It’s the kind of vibe where everyone shows up to support and connect, which made the event even better.
Outside of work, I spent some time on a farm with goats—yes, actual farm chores were involved. It was a nice change of pace and a chance to catch up with colleagues who’ve also become good friends over the years. Seeing how well they’ve done for themselves was pretty cool, and I’m proud of what they’ve accomplished.
One thing’s for sure: Winnipeg loves American Whiskey. It was clear from the turnout and enthusiasm at the tasting.
