Why Our Agency Uses CapCut (And Why You Should Too)
At Branding & Buzzing, we’ve been using CapCut for a while now, and we’re big supporters of empowering our team to use it for fast, trend-savvy content creation. From event reels to behind-the-scenes snippets, CapCut has helped us elevate our video storytelling without needing a full production team.

But like any tool, it has its best practices — and we’ve learned a few things the hard way. Here are our top insights (and some tips from the web) to help you level up your CapCut game:
1. Shoot for the Edit
When using CapCut, shoot with purpose. Keep your clips short and make sure each one tells one clear story or moment. CapCut templates are built around tight timing, so long, aimless clips slow down your workflow and make the edit harder.
2. Pick Your Template Early
Before you shoot, pick your template. This helps you know how many clips you’ll need. Most effective storytelling templates use 15–30 individual clips — that’s a lot more than most people realize. We often shoot the same action 2–3 times from different angles just to give us options in the edit.
3. Keep It Simple
While CapCut offers fun and flashy templates, less is often more. Overdoing transitions or visual effects can make your content feel chaotic or cheap. Let the footage (and the story) shine. Use effects that support the tone, not distract from it.
4. Ditch the Watermark
If you’re using CapCut professionally, pay for the upgrade. Nothing says “DIY” more than a watermark in the corner of your branded content. It’s a small investment with a big impact on how your content is perceived.
5. Master the Search Bar
CapCut’s search function is underrated. Looking for a trending sound? Need a text animation? Want to match a vibe you saw on TikTok? Start with the search bar. It saves time and opens up a ton of creative options.
CapCut has helped us create fast, fun, and effective content — without losing storytelling quality. Whether you’re a marketer, creator, or brand, learning how to use it properly is worth your time.
