The Brand Card Exercise
We kicked things off with our tried-and-true Brand Card exercise—a collaborative workshop designed to uncover a brand’s personality. For 3 Stooges Poutine, it became clear: their brand was all about comedy. With a name inspired by the legendary slapstick trio, the poutine joint needed a playful identity to match.
From there, we envisioned their branding as a nod to the golden age of cartoons. What better way to bring humor to life than through bold, nostalgic visuals?
Hanna-Barbera Style Illustrations
We partnered with our talent illustrator, Midnight Oil, to transform the three founders into cartoon characters styled after the iconic Hanna-Barbera animation. Think The Flintstones meets Scooby-Doo, but with an extra dollop of gravy. These quirky caricatures became the cornerstone of the brand, appearing across packaging, menus, and in-store signage.
The visuals didn’t just look amazing—they told a story. Customers instantly understood that 3 Stooges Poutine wasn’t just serving up fries, curds, and gravy; they were dishing out a good time.
