OPEN CASTING CALL RFP
We are seeking an experienced food photography creative team to produce a set of recipe-based images for the re-launch of Rabbit River Farms, an established egg brand based in British Columbia.
While the brand is rooted in Western Canada, this is a national casting call. We welcome submissions from creative teams across Canada. Branded cartons will be shipped,and fresh eggs will be provided or reimbursed as needed to support production if you are not locally based.
This is an opportunity for photographers and production teams specializing in packaged food, recipe development, and brand-forward visual storytelling.
PROJECT OVERVIEW

Creative Approach:
We are looking for a team that can bring strong visual thinking while working within an established brand that has recently undergone a full rebrand.
This photography will help define the visual direction of the brand moving forward.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
Final imagery must align with the provided Brand Book Sizzler while allowing room for creative interpretation.
As this is a rebrand, the selected approach will inform future photography and visual standards for Rabbit River Farms.
PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS
The selected team must supply:
- Photographer / Creative Lead
- Food Stylist (must be able to cook recipes)
- Studio space
- Props, surfaces and styling materials (minimal, cohesive set)
- All food ingredients (excluding provided egg cartons)
- Full post-production and colour correction
Styling Notes:
- One plated “hero” image per recipe
- Minimal, natural styling (ie. cutlery, linen, simple surfaces), do not overstyle
- Egg carton must be included in each image (placement to be defined in Work Order)
- A cohesive set is expected (approx. 4–5 plates/bowls reused to create consistency vs. 24 unique setups)
USAGE & RIGHTS
Usage Scope: Organic social, paid social, brand website, email marketing and internal sales materials
Exclusivity: No category exclusivity required
DELIVERABLE SPECIFICATIONS
- 24 final edited recipe images
- Minimum 4,000px on the long edge
- High-resolution JPG files for web and digital use
- Layered working files where applicable, including background, food, product/carton and key styling elements separated when possible
- Print-ready files suitable for potential large-format use including banners, retail materials and internal sales assets
- Files delivered in organized folders by recipe name
- One round of light revisions included
All final assets must be delivered with sufficient resolution and flexibility for both digital and print applications.

BUDGET
Total Budget: $10,000 CAD
This is an all-inclusive budget covering studio, talent and crew, food and props, production, and post-production.
PAYMENT TERMS
50% deposit payable upon project award
Balance due upon receipt of final approved images
CONFIDENTIALITY
Selected teams will be required to sign an NDA prior to receiving the brand book.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Please include:
- Portfolio (food / CPG preferred)
- 2–3 examples of packaged food photography
- Short written approach (3–5 sentences)
- 1 sample “recipe interpretation” (how you would shoot one dish from the list)
- Mood board (8–10 images showing overall vision)
- Confirmation of availability (June–July 2026)
- Confirmation you can work within budget and timeline
