TORONTO (June 2nd, 2017) – For the 6th year in a row, Wines of Germany is bringing back the popular turnkey program, 31 Days of German Riesling, to Canadian restaurants, wine retailers, and bars.

During the months of July and August, participating new and current licensees are incentivized to promote German Riesling through custom offerings or menu pairings. What’s the incentive? All consumers who order a glass of German Riesling are eligible to WIN a long weekend for two in Berlin.

Upon registration licensees will automatically be entered to WIN an educational sommelier level wine trip to Germany which includes airfare, transportation, winery visits, accommodations and more. Participating licensees will also receive appropriate training and materials for a deliciously successful 31 days. We ensure that taking part in the program is as easy as uncorking a bottle of wine.

We provide the training for your staff and all required integration materials and imagery so there’s no stress or interference toward your day-to-day operations,” explained Pam Panesar, Marketing and Branding Manager of Andros Communications, “plus, we’re sending some lucky staff to Germany at the end!”

With Canada ranked as the 5th highest export market for German wines, and annual sales reaching over $66.8 million already, this giveaway allows restaurateurs and wine retailers to easily upsell diversely-styled goods that are likely already on their shelves.

Participants can get creative with customizable offerings such as serving German Riesling by the glass, by the bottle, as tasting flights, or as a pairing.

German Riesling to me equates exciting terroir-driven wines!” says returning restaurant participant, Vanya Filipovic, Owner of Le Vin Papillon and Sommelier at Joe Beef, Montreal.

We encourage you to secure your spot today as space is limited to 50 licensees and retailers.

I always look forward to the 31 days of Riesling because it means sunshine and beautiful German Rieslings, my favourite time of the year!” says returning restaurant participant, Steve Sousa, Sommelier at Momofuku, Toronto.

About 31 Days of German Riesling: 31 Days of German Riesling is a summer promotional program initiated in celebration of infamous wine exports from Germany.
